Step 7. Loading OBJ Model

Daniel Shiffman shows how to load a pre-built 3D model (an OBJ file) into a P5 World.

Again, in this video he is using localhost. We are using the Ancient Brain server, where you can upload your own 3D models. Search for OBJ files that people have already uploaded. You can get OBJ files from sites like free3d.com.

For you: Go to "My uploads" and upload a different OBJ and insert it into your World. Or just directly reference the OBJ of another user. The World also adds background audio. You can upload your own audio and make that the background audio.

Ancient Brain is looking for a partner to co-write a JavaScript or Python coding book for schools, to be used worldwide. This would be a course for students in learning to code from scratch. The book and course will be integrated into the Ancient Brain site. This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop a course and textbook to partner with a site to promote it. Read more.
